The Holy Spirit

When you place your faith in Jesus, the one and only way to God...the Holy Spirit will come and dwell inside of you. The words that come to my mind to explain His presence is indescribable, unexplainable, unspeakable and  of course, the joy that comes. The Holy Spirit will guide, convict, comfort, give you discernment and reveal truth to you through God's word. The Holy Spirit is part of the trinity-God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. God gives us His Spirit to be with us until the day of Jesus's return. The Holy Spirit is our "guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption  of those who are God's possession-to the praise of His glory." Ephesians 1:13 God seals us with the Holy Spirit confirming we are HIS! The Spirit who lives inside of us cries out "Abba Father," this is such an intimate phrase which means "Daddy." This Spirit testifies with our spirit that we are God's children. Romans 8:15 The Holy Spirit is not an "it", the Holy Spirit is a "He." We can grieve(to make sad) Him.Ephesians 4:30 He counsels us. John 14:26 He intercedes to God for us. Romans 8:27. The Spirit draws man to God and He helps us when we don't know what to pray and intercedes for us according to God's will. Romans 8:27 He will comfort you like no other. He will give you the strength you need during your most difficult of days. "the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness faithfulness, gentleness and self-control." Galations 5:22 Without the Spirit living in us, it is impossible for us to be all of those things. You must understand that there is a battle, and this battle is not just against satan and the principalities of darkness, this battle is inside of you as your flesh wars against your spirit. Paul speaks of this battle in Romans. He was one of the greatest apostles and yet, He struggled with the sin living in him. He spoke of his "inner being" delighting in God's law, yet another law was "at work in the members of his body, waging war against the law of his mind and making him a prisoner of the law of sin at work within his members." 7:22-23 Praise be to God that it does not end there...for there is "now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus, the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death." 8:1-2 We have to purposely set our minds on the things of God and what the Spirit desires. The mind controlled by the Spirit is "life and peace." 8:6 We who are led by the "Spirit of God are sons of God." 8:14 When you have condemning, accusing, negative or depressing thoughts, give them over to God and choose to think on good things. As I said before, we cannot do this on our own, but we have the Spirit of the Most Holy, Awesome God living on the inside of us who can and will help us in all of our weaknessess! We have a hope that the world does not have! We have been set free from the bondage of sin! One day, we will see Jesus face to face and be with Him forever...."Never again will they hunger; never again will they thirst. The sun will not beat upon them, nor any scorching heat. for the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their Shepherd; He will lead them to springs of living water. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes." Revelation 7:16-17 The difficult things that we go through in this life are nothing compared to the glory of heaven and being with our Father and loved ones who have gone before us forever! Jesus says, "Behold I am conimg soon! My reward is with Me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End." Revelation 22:12-13
