He's everything to me.

As I was driving home today from work, I heard an older song by the group Avalon. The lyrics jumped out of my radio as they sang and I wanted to share some of the lyrics with you as they deeply touched my heart.
"I grew up in Sunday school

I don't know about you, but this song took me back to four years ago when God opened my eyes and showed me who He was. You see, as far back as I can remember, I believed Jesus died on the cross for my sins, rose again and that He was the only way to heaven. I could quote scripture. I went to church (not regularly) and thought I was saved. My knowledge of Him was only "head" knowledge. This knowledge had not penetrated my heart. I was not changed. Sure I would go to church on Sunday, but the rest of the week I would live just like the rest of the world. Jesus was not my life, and He certainly did not hold the number one place in my heart. I still held that number one place. I was selfish, self-centered, deceptive, struggled for years (and I mean years) with an eating disorder, really I could go on, but this is not about me...it is about Jesus and how He has totally transformed me! I would've continued to spiral downward, but God had a different plan. He knew exactly what it took for me to cry out to Him. I have not been the same since. I cannot begin to thank Him enough! Now I am FAR from being perfect, but in Christ, I am a new creation. God makes all things beautiful in His time! As we continue to walk with Him, He will continue to grow us in Him. Our desires change, what we want is what He wants for us. Nothing on earth can satisfy you like Jesus can-NOTHING! God desires to know you intimately! He wants to walk with you, to lead you, to guide you. He will fill every void in your life if you allow Him to. The choice is yours. Choose life! Choose Jesus....He is tenderly calling you.

Hold on!

"The One who calls you is faithful and He will do it." 1 Thessalonians 5:24 We serve a God who is so faithful. He is faithful to us even when we are not. He has an appointed time for everything. And friend, His purpose will prevail. This is not in our time...we must remember, that it is in His perfect timing. He knows what is best for us and He will work ALL things for our good for those who love Him, who are called according to His purpose. He uses all of our circumstances to conform us to the likeness of His Son Jesus. Satan Is Your Enemy, Not People

I know there are times when it feels like others are truly your enemy, by the things they say or how they treat you, however, they are not your real enemy-satan is. While he does use people as part of his strategy, he is always the one behind the warfare. You must remember this at all times. Don't let satan catch you off guard.
