He will carry your load
I heard a song this morning that spoke to my heart. Jesus is ready to carry your load. We all too often carry the weight of our problems around with us and don't give them up. Jesus stands ready and waiting to carry all of it for you. When He died on that cross, He overcame...He overcame all of our guilt, all of our shame and all of the baggage we tend to carry around with us. It could be that you are still carrying around something you did years ago that you cannot seem to forget. You may be carrying the guilt of a past relationship gone wrong or guilt of sin. Friend, when Jesus died for you, He took all of that on Him so that in Him we can be free. No, we cannot change the past, but Jesus can and will restore your life the day you believe in Him and make Him Lord and Savior of your life. Isaiah tells us that He will give you back the years the locusts have eaten. Those wasted years you spent living for yourself and your own pleasures, He will take. The work on the cross was a finished work...He took all the sin you have committed or ever will commit upon His shoulders and God promises that as far as the east is from the west, He will remove your sin from you and remember it no more. If God doesn't remember it anymore, you need not remember it either! "Instead of their shame My people will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace they will rejoice in their inheritance; and so they will inherit a double portion in their land." Isaiah 61:7 " I delight greatly in the Lord; my soul rejoices in My God. FOR HE HAS CLOTHED ME WITH GARMENTS OF SALVATION AND ARRAYED ME WITH A ROBE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS." Isaiah 61:10 When you choose a life in Christ, God Himself clothes you in righteousness. He now looks at you through the blood of Christ and washes you white as snow! He will also take great delight in you and rejoice over you. Isaiah 62:4-5 There is true freedom in Christ....you are free to be who He made you to be. You don't have to look over your shoulder, or wonder if deception is going to catch up with you, you are no longer bound by addictions or distorted ways of thinking...whatever it is, Jesus can and will set you free. Let Him carry your load-whatever it is-because you will not solve anything by worrying and stressing over it. As you focus on Jesus, everything else around you will seem small...each time you find yourself worrying, begin to focus on Jesus and get in the Word. Pray and ask Him to speak to your heart. In this life, we will have troubles, but setting our hearts and minds on Jesus and His truth will allow us to go through any storm with an unexplainable peace knowing that in all things, God will work it out for your good (as His child) and is conforming you into the image of Christ. Let Him take your load!
