Your identity in Christ

As a follower of Christ, we are kings and queens of the Most High God. "But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness and into His wonderful light." 1 Peter 2:9 My friend, you are a child of the King-the One who made the heavens and the earth. You are royalty. This is  not based on your circumstances or the things you do, but it is based on what Jesus already did for you! When He died on the cross and rose again, He defeated the power of sin and satan. You were bought with a price. 1 Corinthians 7:23 You are a "crown of splendor in the Lord's hand, a royal diadem in the hand of your God." Isaiah 62:3 A diadem is "a crown or headband-royal power or dignity." That is what you are! There may be people in your life that tear you down with their words and make you "feel" like you are not important. These people may even be in your own family. This is where you take a stand and remember who you belong to and what you are in Christ. You cannot let what others say dictate your self-worth. Remind yourself as you look in the mirror each day that you are a child of the King. As a follower of Christ, there is nothing that will ever change that. You absolutely cannot rely on your feelings. Feelings will come and go. The truth of God's word needs to penetrate your heart, soul and mind. His word is "right and true; He is faithful in all He does." Psalm 33:4 You have the same power living inside of you that raised Christ from the dead. If we could only wrap our minds around this fact....we will have the confidence that only Christ can give. We do not have to fear. God has delivered us from all our fears. Psalm 34:4 God did not give us "a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline." 2 Timothy 1:7 It does not matter what you have done or where you have been, you are clothed with a robe of righteousness..."God made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God." 2 Corinthians 5:21 You are now a new creation in Christ....you are not that same person you used to be. To walk in Christ, is to renew your mind...do this on purpose and make your thoughts line up with His word. Thousands of thoughts will enter your mind each day. You can choose which ones to think and meditate on. The thoughts that are impure and wrong, thoughts that you are worthless and insignificant do not have to dominate your mind- you have the power to cast them down. You have to do this on purpose. satan will try to make you feel bad and he will accuse you and send condemning thoughts your way...he is relentless and has been doing this for years and years. But you, my friend, through the blood of Christ, are victorious over satan and his power. He cannot read your mind, but he can and will surely put wrong thoughts there. It all starts with your mind...it is a battleground. This is why it is so important to renew your mind in God's word. You must meditate on it so that it gets into your heart. When satan attacks, you can counter these attacks with God's word and he must flee. Put on the mind of Christ today. Remember whose you are. "Be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power." Ephesians 6:10 You are beautiful, and you are dearly loved by your Heavenly Father!

Hold on!

"The One who calls you is faithful and He will do it." 1 Thessalonians 5:24 We serve a God who is so faithful. He is faithful to us even when we are not. He has an appointed time for everything. And friend, His purpose will prevail. This is not in our time...we must remember, that it is in His perfect timing. He knows what is best for us and He will work ALL things for our good for those who love Him, who are called according to His purpose. He uses all of our circumstances to conform us to the likeness of His Son Jesus. Don't lose hope in the fact that your God is mighty and powerful. Don't stop short of the answer. Satan Is Your Enemy, Not People

I know there are times when it feels like others are truly your enemy, by the things they say or how they treat you, however, they are not your real enemy-satan is. While he does use people as part of his strategy, he is always the one behind the warfare. You must remember this at all times. Don't let satan catch you off guard. He will come at you especially during times you are tired both physically and emotionally.
