God's timing is perfect.

"The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance." 2 Peter 3:9 We live in an instant world with fast food restaurants, microwaves and the internet. We don't like waiting...our flesh wants "it" right now. When we don't see an answer right away, we tend to become discouraged or think maybe that God does not hear our prayers. When we become discouraged, we have taken our eyes off of the Lord and turned them to our circumstances. Gabriel told Daniel "as soon as you began to pray, an answer was given." 9:23 When we confess our sins before the Lord, we have nothing that will hinder our prayers to Him. He hears every prayer we lift up to Him. There is a spiritual battle taking place....Michael told Daniel that he was battling with the prince of Persia (satan) for twenty-one days after Daniel prayed. Daniel 10:13 satan will do all he can to keep your prayers from being answered, BUT SATAN IS A DEFEATED FOE! He is a created being that can only do what God allows him to do. In the times of waiting, God is strengthening us, He is molding us into His image, He is teaching us patience which produces endurance. What would we really learn if we got everything we asked for immediately? Would we think that God is some sort of genie in a bottle that grants our every wish? He is certainly not this. He is Jehovah God. The Sovereign, Just and Holy God who loves us and knows what is best for each of us. Remember that "with the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day." 2 Peter 3:9 In your times of waiting, no matter how long you may have been waiting, do not move until you receive your answer from God. He has the perfect answer for you. I know it is hard waiting and there are days you want to give up...but press on and keep looking to Jesus. There is so much for us to learn in waiting and we are blessed. Isaiah 30:18 David wrote, "I waited patiently for the Lord; He turned to me and heard my cry." Psalm 40:1 "Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him; do not fret when men succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes." Psalm 37:7 Being still before the Lord, is resting in Him and knowing beyond any doubt that He does hold you and your times in His hands. "A man's steps are directed by the Lord. How then can anyone understand his own way?" Proverbs 20:24 We must submit our will to God's will and believe that God will do what He has promised to do and not waver through unbelief. Romans 4:18-21 When you believe God and trust Him in every circumstance, no matter how difficult it may be and how long it takes, you shine for God-others see this and God receives all the glory. I am praying with you, that God will so strengthen you today in your spirit and give you the faith and the courage to trust Him, no matter what your situation "looks like" right now. His plan for you is good....know that He loves you and as His beloved child, He will work out your situation for your good-in His time.
