The Unseen Hand of God

This week a friend of mine gave me two dwarf frogs. These frogs had been in a little container so I planned on taking them home and putting them in a large fish bowl we had. I drove home with them and the water splashed and rocked. They seemed very scared. I knew I had good plans for them, but they had to endure some scary (to them) times first. When I got home with them, I set the larger fish bowl up for them with rocks, a plant and really clean water. As I finished getting their new home ready, I carefully put the frogs in the bowl.
I know you may be thinking, okay, what does this have to do with the unseen hand of God? I am glad you asked. We often go through really hard times and don't see the end in sight, however, God does. If we will keep our eyes on Him and trust that He has our best in mind, we will see His purpose in our pain. The frogs had no idea they were going to a bigger and better home-they only knew they were scared and didn't know what was going to happen next. If we only look at our circumstances, we will become fearful or we may worry or ask how in the world we are going to make it through. However, if we hold fast to Jesus, and keep our eyes on Him, NOT the circumstances, He will give us His peace and His grace to get through every situation and make it through to the other side! God has always been and always will be. He sees the end from the beginning. We can only see what is happening right now. God knows exactly what He is doing. We need to remember that  His thoughts are not our thoughts and His ways are not our ways. Isaiah 55:8 God does not grow tired or weary and His understanding no one can fathom. Isaiah 40:28
Our God loves you with an everlasting love. Jeremiah 31:3 God is love. 1 John 4:8 It is because of His great love that He sent His One and Only Son Jesus, to die for you and for me, so that we could have a relationship with our Father and be cleansed from all of our sin. Jesus, who is God in the flesh (John 1:1-4), left His throne and humbled Himself unto death. He willingly gave His life. The Bible says that the Lord laid on Him the iniquity of us all. He was led like a lamb to the slaughter, He was oppressed and afflicted, yet He did not open His mouth. Isaiah 53:6-7 He could have called ten-thousand angels to help Him or He could have chosen not to do the will of His Father, but He did indeed finish the work and He was obedient unto death. Three days later, Jesus arose as He told His disciples He would. (Matthew 27:63) Because of His finished work on the cross, you and I can be forever His and forever free in Him! He tells us that anyone who calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved! Romans 10:13. This is a promise and this promise is for everyone! Jesus died once and for all! If you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you WILL be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe  and are justified and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. Romans 10:9-10
If you don't know Him and you feel a sort of tugging at your heart, something deep within, that is the Holy Spirit drawing you. Stop right now and pray. Dear Lord, I need you. I realize I am a sinner in need of a Savior. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sin and I believe He rose again for me so that I may have life in Him. Save me Lord Jesus. I confess that you are Lord! Help me now to walk in your ways. Lead me and guide me. I choose to follow you for the rest of my days. If you just prayed that prayer, you are now a new creation in Christ. You are now part of God's family and He has promised He will never leave nor forsake you. (Hebrews 13:5) No one can snatch you out of God's hand. John 10:28 God has placed His Holy Spirit within you.(Acts 2:38) You are now marked in Him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God's possession-to the praise of His glory. (Ephesians 1:13-14)
Jesus came so that we might have life. He is the light of the world. We as followers of Christ are to let our light so shine before men that those who don't yet have the light, will want what we have and God will receive all praise and glory! Know this my friend, God loves you and He is for you. Be blessed!
