The precious blood

When I think of the blood of Christ, I am reminded of these song lyrics..."Your blood speaks a better word than all the empty claims I've held upon this earth, speaks righteousness for me and stands in my defense, Jesus it's Your blood. What can wash away my sin? What can make me whole again? Nothing but the blood, nothing but the blood of Jesus." In Hebrews 9:22 we read, "without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness." Jesus Christ was the One and Only perfect sacrifice. He was God in the flesh, fully God and fully man, yet perfect and sinless. I cannot even begin to imagine what Jesus went through hours before He died. "Just as there were many who were appalled at Him-His appearance was so disfigured beyond that of any man and His form marred beyond human likeness..." Isaiah 52:14 Our Lord willingly laid down His life for us-this was all a part of God's perfect plan. He was chosen before the foundation of the world (1 Peter 1:19) to die for you and for me. The blood of Jesus, only by His blood, can we stand before a Holy and Just God. The blood of Jesus is what washes us white as snow. We needed a perfect sacrifice to save us from our sin, from a life of destruction and hell. Jesus did just that when He died on the cross and rose again three days later. Because He is victorious, we are victorious! As a follower of Christ, when God looks at us, He looks at us through the blood of Christ. Because of His blood, we now are righteous in the sight of God. Apart from the blood, there is NOTHING we can do to earn His favor and His salvation. Revelation 1:5 says Jesus who loves us, has freed us from our sins by His blood. With His blood, He purchased men for God from every tribe and language and people and nation. You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God and they will reign on the earth. Revelation 5:9-10 There is power in the blood. By His blood, we are more than conquerors, we are set free from a life of bondage, we are righteous and we are heirs to the throne of God. We will overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony. Revelation 12:11 Each of us has a God story...one that is unique for only us...a testimony to share with the world how God reached down and saved us and began the work of transformation in our lives-something only God can do. He is a personal God and it is about your relationship with Him, not your spouse's, your child's or your parent's relationship with Him...God is an intimate God and even the hairs of your head are numbered. He cares about and loves you and me more than we can imagine. The love He has for us is unchanging and constant because God is love. He is perfect and true and faithful. My prayer is for you to really get into His word and let Him speak to you. You and I cannot stand in this world if we don't hide His word in our hearts. Our minds cannot be renewed if we don't get in His word and we cannot fight off the enemy without the sword of the Spirit-which is God's word. Praising my God and King today for the precious blood of Christ.

Hold on!

"The One who calls you is faithful and He will do it." 1 Thessalonians 5:24 We serve a God who is so faithful. He is faithful to us even when we are not. He has an appointed time for everything. And friend, His purpose will prevail. This is not in our time...we must remember, that it is in His perfect timing. He knows what is best for us and He will work ALL things for our good for those who love Him, who are called according to His purpose. He uses all of our circumstances to conform us to the likeness of His Son Jesus. Satan Is Your Enemy, Not People

I know there are times when it feels like others are truly your enemy, by the things they say or how they treat you, however, they are not your real enemy-satan is. While he does use people as part of his strategy, he is always the one behind the warfare. You must remember this at all times. Don't let satan catch you off guard. He will come at you especially during times you are tired both physically and emotionally.
