He is worthy of all praise!
"The Lord is faithful to all His promises and loving toward all He has made. The Lord upholds all those who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down. The eyes of all look to You, and You give them their food at the proper time. You open Your hand and satisfy the desires of every living thing. The Lord is righteous in all His ways and loving toward all He has made. The Lord is near to all who call on Him in truth. He fulfills the desires of those who fear Him; He hears their cry and saves them. The Lord watches over all who love Him, but all the wicked He will destroy. My mouth will speak in praise of the Lord. Let every creature praise His holy name for ever and ever." Psalm 145:13-21 These verses so speak to my heart. I am so grateful to God for His faithfulness and His everlasting love. I am grateful that He is faithful when I am not. I am grateful that He loves me in spite of me. Once, I was far away from Him, and with His great love and mercy, He drew me to Him."But now in Christ Jesus, you who once were far away have been brought near through the blood of Jesus Christ." Ephesians 2:13 He opened my eyes to see Him and all of His beauty and majesty. He sees the end from the beginning. He sees the person that you and I will become in Him. He is so patient with us and never forces us to choose Him. "The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance." 2 Peter 3:9 The God of all the universe cares so much about you and me....and every detail of our lives. When we turn to Him, like the prodigal son, He welcomes us with open arms and cleanses us from every sin we have ever committed or ever will commit. Jesus finished the work on the cross for you and for me. We no longer have to live in shame and fear. When you turn to God, He looks at you through the blood of His Son Jesus and you become the righteousness of Christ. The lyrics to a song come to my mind now..."I am not who I was, being remade, I am new. I am chosen and holy and I'm dearly loved, I am new!" We are a new creation in Christ. "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!" 2 Corinthians 5:17 This precious God and Father created you and me...."For You created my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from You when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, Your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in Your book before one of them came to be." Psalm 139:13-16 Our God is precious and beautiful and mighty and powerful! Don't just take my word for it though, find out for yourself by reading His word-His love letter to you and me. And remember, "Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet's own interpretation. For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit." 2 Peter 1:20-21 God's word is just that-His word. It is not something that man made up. God will reveal Himself to you as you seek Him. "If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land." 2 Chronicles 7:14 He will begin to grow you in Him and as this happens, you will notice your desires changing, your love for others growing and you will begin to hear His voice speaking to your heart.(Remember that when God speaks to you, it is always in line with His word. He would never tell you to do something that is out of His character and it is always for your good and His glory). This a process known as sanctification-He is making you more like Jesus. Remember, that no matter what you have done or where you have been, God loves you and is just waiting for you to come to Him. He is also a God of second and third chances. There is nothing you can do that will make Him not love you. He is love! I praise His name for who He is and what He has done! "My tongue will speak of Your righteousness and of Your praises all day long." Psalm 35:28
