God Created Everything To Bring Him Glory

     "The heavens declare the glory of God, the skies proclaim the work of His hands day after day they pour forth speech, night after night they display knowledge." Psalm 19:1-2
     Take a good look at this picture. The beauty of the sun behind the clouds. There is even a planet in the background. The marvelous work of God is all around us. We have an awesome and great Creator. God has always been. I know it is hard for us to wrap our minds around this, but God is infinite. Before He formed the earth and everything you see-He was! He is the great I AM! 
     Isaiah 6:3 tells us that the earth is full of His glory. What is so fascinating to me is the fact that this Great and Powerful God-the God of the universe, created you and me for Him. He loves us so much that He desires to have a relationship with each one of us. He proved this to us by sending His One and Only Son, Jesus Christ, to die a brutal death on a cross for our sin. Why did He do this? 1 John 1:9 tells us that God is love. Not just that He loves, but that He is love. This love is displayed in God giving His Son as a sacrifice for our sin. You see, on our own, we could never do enough or be good enough to approach this magnificent, Holy God. We are all guilty. God is Holy-there is no darkness, no sin in Him. Our sin has separated us from Him. "For there is no one who does not sin." (1 Kings 8:46) We needed a perfect sacrifice to take our place. Jesus was that perfect sacrifice and He took the penalty for each and every person that has ever lived or ever will live once and for all. "God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him, we might become the righteousness of God." (2 Corinthians 5:21) He did this because He loves us. You may be thinking, well, I have done too much wrong, or God could never forgive me. Read and meditate on this verse: "For as high is the heavens above the earth, so great is His love for those who fear Him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us." (Psalm 103:11-12) When Christ died, He died once and for all. "For Christ died once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God." (1 Peter 3:18) The gospel is so simple, yet, we try to complicate it. Many say it is Jesus plus good works or Jesus plus rules and regulations. This is not truth. The truth is that Jesus plus nothing equals life. Jesus said, "I am the way the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father except through Me." (John 14:6) It is God's grace-His marvelous grace and nothing else. It is a free gift that He offers to each and every one of us. 
     The question is, do you accept His free gift? Do you believe that Jesus is who He says He is? He is God in the flesh who left the throne and came to earth so that you and I might live. You have a choice to make. The time to make the choice is right now. Friend, you are not promised tomorrow. Choose life while you still have breath. Cry out to God. There is  no special prayer you must pray. Just tell Him you need Him. Tell Him you have messed up and you need Him. Tell Him you cannot and do not want to do life anymore on your own. God will hear you. He is waiting for you! "Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him and he with Me." Revelation 3:20

Hold on!

"The One who calls you is faithful and He will do it." 1 Thessalonians 5:24 We serve a God who is so faithful. He is faithful to us even when we are not. He has an appointed time for everything. And friend, His purpose will prevail. This is not in our time...we must remember, that it is in His perfect timing. He knows what is best for us and He will work ALL things for our good for those who love Him, who are called according to His purpose. He uses all of our circumstances to conform us to the likeness of His Son Jesus. Satan Is Your Enemy, Not People

I know there are times when it feels like others are truly your enemy, by the things they say or how they treat you, however, they are not your real enemy-satan is. While he does use people as part of his strategy, he is always the one behind the warfare. You must remember this at all times. Don't let satan catch you off guard.
