Praise to the Lord Our God; He Alone Is Worthy!

"Praise awaits You, O God in Zion; to You our vows will be fulfilled. O You who hear prayer, to You all men will come. When we were overwhelmed by sins, You forgave our transgressions. Blessed are those You choose and bring to live in Your courts. We are filled with the good things of Your house, of Your holy temple. You answer us with awesome deeds of righteousness, O God, our Savior, the hope of all the ends of the earth and of the farthest seas, the roaring of their waves and the turmoil of the nations. Those living far away fear Your wonders, where morning dawns and evening fades, You call forth songs of joy (Psalm 65:1-8)."
God alone is worthy of all praise! He is the only One who can cleanse us and make us new. He forgives all of our sins-past, present and future. He knows all because He is omniscient. He sees all because He is omnipresent. God knows every single detail about you. He knows every sin you have ever committed and ever will commit, and yet, He loves you with an unfailing, perfect love. He looks beyond all of your sin, all of my sin and sees who we will become in Him. "As it is written: I have made you a father of many nations. He is our father in the sight of God in whom he believed (speaking of Abraham)-the God who gives life to the dead and calls into being things that were not (Romans 4:17)."
I was dead. You were dead. But God chased after us; He pursued us with His relentless mercy and made us His own. "The Lord did not set His affection on you and choose you because you were more numerous than other peoples. But it was because the Lord loved you, and kept the oath He swore to your forefathers that He brought you out with a mighty hand and redeemed you from the land of slavery, from the power of Pharaoh king of Egypt. Know therefore, that the Lord your God is God; He is the faithful God, keeping His covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love Him and keep His commands (Deuteronomy 7:7-9)." He gave life to our spiritually dead bodies. Not because of ANYTHING we had done, but because of His great love! Praise His holy name!!
You see, God choosing you and calling you out of darkness is all because of His marvelous grace. You and I could never do enough good things to get into heaven. Not one of us could never keep all of the Lord's commandments. We have all sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23).  I am still overwhelmed at the fact that this great, mighty and holy God, who spoke the world and everything in it into existence, cared about and loved me so much that He chose me to be His daughter. I know what a wretched person I was. I know that I still fail Him every single day, and yet, He continues to give me grace and mercy and assure me that I am loved- I am redeemed-and I am His.
Once you are sealed by the Spirit, it is forever. "Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, set His seal of ownership on us, and put His Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come (2 Corinthians 1:21-22)." What great love the Father has lavished on us, that we could be called His children (1 John 3:1).
The lyrics to a song come to mind...."Grace, grace, God's grace
Grace that will pardon and cleanse within
Grace, grace, God's grace
Grace that is greater than all our sin!
Dark is the stain that we cannot hide.
What can avail to wash it away?
Look! There is flowing a crimson tide,
Whiter than snow you may be today."
Friend, no matter what you have done, there is absolutely nothing that the blood of Christ cannot cover. Come to Jesus. He will wash you in His cleansing blood, removing the burdens, removing all of the sin, and make you a new creation in Him. He stands ready, waiting for you to simply come!
"Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with Me (Revelation 3:20)."
