God Makes All Things New!

God makes all things new. If you are in Christ, you have become a new creation. God has taken out your heart of stone, given you a heart of flesh and put His Spirit within you (Ezekiel 36:26-27). The "old man" is gone and you became a new creation in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17). All of this is a gift from God. This has nothing to do with who we are or what we have done. It is solely based on the marvelous grace of God. He made Christ, who knew no sin, to become sin for us that we might become the righteousness of God. All we have to do is simply accept God's gift. "The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart, that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming: That if you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart, that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. As the scripture says, anyone who trusts in Him will never be put to shame. For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile-the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on Him, for, everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved (Romans 10:8-12)."
The moment God saves you, He fills you with His Spirit. "Having believed, you were marked in Him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God's possession-to the praise of His glory (Ephesians 1:13-14)." But God doesn't stop there. He continues to work in and through us and will do so until the day we are called home. In Isaiah, the Lord tells us "to forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland (Isaiah 43:19)."
God is doing a new thing in your life at this very moment. He is breathing life into a dead relationship. He is restoring a family. He is healing the sick. He is making the broken whole. He is giving beauty for ashes. He is giving gladness for mourning. He is calling things that aren't as though they are.
It is set in motion even though you cannot see it yet. He is making a way where there is otherwise no way. It is up to each of us to take Him at His word. God is not a man that He should lie (Numbers 23:19). If He makes a promise, He will fulfill it. Always. Regardless of what our circumstances may look like in the natural, no matter how impossible a situation may be, we must see with eyes of faith and trust God. With His breath, God created the heavens and the earth. He simply spoke, and it came to be. There is absolutely nothing too hard for Him. "Ah, Sovereign Lord, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for You (Jeremiah 32:17)."
So with that being said dear one, don't grow weary as you wait to see the new thing God is doing, trust that His way and His timing are perfect. Know and believe that He always has your best in mind. He will not ever disappoint you and will never fail you. He hears you, He sees you and He loves you completely. In the waiting, God may be growing your faith, teaching you patience and showing you to look to Him and Him alone.
"The Lord is faithful to all His promises and loving toward all He has made. The Lord upholds all those who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down. The eyes of all look to You, and You give them their food at the proper time. You open Your hand and satisfy the desires of every living thing. The Lord is righteous in all His ways and loving toward all He has made (Psalm 145:13-17)."
