Blessed, Highly Favored, and Loved By God!

"Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. But His delight is in the law of the Lord and on His law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers (Psalm 1:1-3)."
The promise of blessing is for anyone whose delight is in the law of the Lord. God shows no partiality. Anyone who comes to Him, He will never turn away. Once saved, you are filled with His Holy Spirit and you cannot help but desire His word. Why? because you have the Spirit of the living God inside of you. It still amazes me how the Spirit transforms us. This transformation begins inwardly as He gives you a new heart and replaces your old desires with new, good and pleasing desires~His desires. This inward transformation then begins to radiate outwardly for all to see. It is a beautiful thing! You see, God doesn't save you for you to keep it to yourself. He wants you to proclaim His goodness and share the gospel with everyone. And if you are saved, you know that you really can't keep it to yourself....you want others to have what you have~Jesus! "I do not hide Your righteousness in my heart; I speak of Your faithfulness and salvation. I do not conceal Your love and Your truth from the great assembly (Psalm 40:10)."
In Christ, you are indeed blessed! The promise God made to Abraham is yours.
"Consider Abraham: 'He believed God and it was credited to him as righteousness.' Understand then, that those who believe are children of Abraham. The Scripture foresaw that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, and announced the gospel in advance to Abraham. 'All nations will be blessed through you. So those who have faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith (Galatians 3:6-9)."
"He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit (Galatians 3:14)."
To be blessed is to be divinely or supremely favored; fortunate. To have a sacred nature: connected with God; very welcome, pleasant or appreciated. Friend, in Christ that is exactly what you are! He loves you with an everlasting love and His covenant is for a thousand generations. "He is the Lord our God; His judgments are in all the earth. He remembers His covenant forever, the word He commanded, for a thousand generations. The covenant He made with Abraham, the oath He swore to Isaac. He confirmed it with Jacob as a decree, to Israel as an everlasting covenant: To you I will give the land of Canaan as the portion you will inherit (1 Chronicles 16:14-18)." The land of Canaan~the promised land~ was an illustration of the Lord Jesus who came to the earth, died and rose again. All who believe in Him by faith will inherit the promise of eternal life.
To be blessed by God really has nothing to do with material things, although He may choose to bless you in that way, but more than that, to be blessed by God is to have His peace that passes all understanding, to have a righteousness that only comes through Christ, to be loved unconditionally by the Creator of the universe, to have all your sins wiped away, to have joy in the midst of trials and tribulations, to walk in newness of life and to know with certainty that you are His and one day you will see your Savior and Lord face to face! "How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know Him. Dear friends, now we are children of God and what we will be has not been made known, But we know that when He appears, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. Everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure (1 John 3:1-3)."
Friend, I know that at times life is hard, and circumstances seem overwhelming, but if you will fix your eyes on Jesus and remind yourself of His promises and who you are in Him, your problems will seem to fade away in the light of His beauty and goodness. Stay in His word and meditate on it. As the truth continues to penetrate your heart, it will direct you, fill you, convict you and grow you in Him. When you have Jesus, you have everything! He is the single most important relationship you could ever have. Nothing or no one else should ever come close! This life you have is only for a moment in light of eternity. Our home is in heaven and we are merely passing through on earth. It may seem like we have all the time in the world to live for Christ. We take for granted that we will wake up tomorrow, but the truth is, none of us are promised tomorrow. "But do not forget this one thing dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare. Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming. The day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat. But in keeping with His promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, the home of righteousness. So then, dear friends, since you are looking forward to this, make every effort to be found spotless, blameless and at peace with Him (2 Peter 3:8-14)."
So my dear friend, press on for Christ and know that your effort is not in vain. He sees you. He knows! Live your life in such a way that points others to God and gives Him glory. You are blessed, highly favored and loved by God. You have an inheritance that will never spoil or fade.
"Behold I am coming soon! My reward is with Me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First, and the Last, the Beginning and the End. Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city (Revelation 22:12-14)."
