Blessed, Highly Favored, and Loved By God!

"Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. But His delight is in the law of the Lord and on His law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers (Psalm 1:1-3)."      The promise of blessing is for anyone whose delight is in the law of the Lord. God shows no partiality. Anyone who comes to Him, He will never turn away. Once saved, you are filled with His Holy Spirit and you cannot help but desire His word. Why? because you have the Spirit of the living God inside of you. It still amazes me how the Spirit transforms us. This transformation begins inwardly as He gives you a new heart and replaces your old desires with new, good and pleasing desires~His desires. This inward transformation then begins to radiate outwardly for all to see. It is a beauti...

The Internal Struggle

"So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature. For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other, so that you do not do what you want. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law (Galatians 5:16-19)."      Friend, the moment you become a follower of the Lord Jesus, the battle begins. There is a struggle between our flesh and the Spirit living within us. Although you have been saved, you still have a sin nature. Every day, you make choices and you do things. These things either feed your spirit or feed your flesh. There is no grey area. If you don't stay grounded in the word of God, you will always default to the flesh. The Spirit desires the things of God and pleasing Him, doing His will whereas the flesh desires selfishness, bitterness, envy, jealousy, idolatry and all the things of the wo...

God~So Rich In Mercy!

"I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength, that He considered me faithful, appointing me to His service. Even though I was once a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent man, I was shown mercy because I acted in ignorance and unbelief. The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners-of whom I am the worst. But for that very reason, I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display His unlimited patience as an example for those who would believe on Him and receive eternal life. Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever, Amen (1 Timothy 1:12-17)."      God is so rich in mercy and so patient. As I typed the previous words from the book of Timothy, it is so evident that I am that pe...

Your Presence Lord

"How great is Your goodness, which you have stored up for those who fear You, which You bestow in the sight of men on those who take refuge in You. In the shelter of Your presence You hide them from the intrigues of men; in Your dwelling You keep them safe from accusing tongues (Psalm 31:19-20)."      In the presence of our Jehovah God, what a blessed place to be. In His presence there is no fear. In His presence there is fullness of joy. In His presence my soul is at rest. In His presence, my heart overflows with thankfulness and is safe and secure. In His presence I am free. It is in His presence that I long to see Him face to face.       I wonder how many of us are seeking after God? I mean really seeking after Him and not being content with where we are at. Now I am not talking about being content in a worldly sense as we certainly should be content with everything that we have. Spiritually speaking though, we who are in Chri...

By His Wounds We Are Healed

"He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows, and familiar with suffering. Like one from whom men hide their faces He was despised, and we esteemed Him not. Surely He took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered Him stricken by God, smitten by Him, and afflicted. But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him, and by His wounds we are healed (Isaiah 53:3-5)."      In the Garden of Eden, life was beautiful. Adam and Eve enjoyed sweet fellowship with God. That is until the day Eve was deceived by satan. She took a bite of the fruit and also gave it to Adam to eat from the one tree in the garden God forbade them to eat from or touch for if they did they would surely die. At that moment, sin entered the world. The eyes of Adam and Eve were opened and they now knew good and evil. God in His foreknowledge knew that this would happen and He alrea...
