Satan comes to kill, steal and destroy

We have an adversary. He is alive and works non-stop to try to take your joy. His name is satan. God's word tells us he was thrown down from heaven because he wanted to be exalted like the Most High God. satan said in his heart "I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God; I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly, on the utmost heights of the sacred mountain. I will ascend above the tops of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High." Isaiah 14:13-14. If you read the next few verses, it says "But you are brought down to the grave, to the depths of the pit. Those who stare at you, they ponder your fate: "is this the man who shook the earth and make kingdoms tremble, the man who made the world a desert, who overthrew its cities and would not let his captives go home?" Isaiah 14:15-17. satan is a created being so he is not the opposite of God. He can only do what God allows period. When satan appeared before the Lord in t...

Trials will come!

God's word tells us that in the world we WILL have tribulation, it does not say "might" or "may have" tribulation, but that we will. However, Jesus says that in Him, we can have peace and for us to take heart, because He has overcome the world. John16:32-33. I look back at the past few years of my life and all of the difficulties I faced. It was in these dark times of my life, that I cried out to my Father. Through the pain, God showed me how to love as He loves, how to truly forgive and he showed me that He will NEVER leave or forsake me. At the time that I was going through the trials, it was hard and there were days I thought to myself how am I going to get through?  But God....I love those two words, BUT GOD! He had a plan for me. That plan was to draw me closer to Him than I have ever been in my life. His plan was to show me that Jesus is the ONLY one who satisfies. I look back now and I would not change a thing. As hard as it was for me at times and oh ho...

You are chosen

Ephesians 1:4 tells us that Jesus chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before Him. Just think for a moment, that before the world existed, God chose YOU. Ephesians goes on to say in verse 5 that "in love, He predestined us for adoption as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of His will, to the praise of His glorious grace, with which He has blessed us in the Beloved. There has been much argument about predestination. Some people believe that God "predestines" certain people to hell, but that is not the case. God is omnipotent, omnipresent and sovereign. He knows all things. He knew before the creation of the world who would choose Him and who would not. See my friend, the choice is completely ours. God is not going to force Himself on us. Yes He could if He wanted to, but he does not. Jesus says, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and wat wi...
