Only Satisfied In You Jesus

"How lovely is Your dwelling place, O Lord Almighty! My soul yearns, even faints, for the courts of the Lord; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God. Even the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may have her young-a place near Your altar, O Lord Almighty, my King and my God. Blessed are those who dwell in Your house; they are ever praising You (Psalm 84:1-4)."
In the presence of the Lord, there is fullness of joy. The problems of this world, the sadness, loss and heartache fade in the light of His beauty and grace. You and I will go through many trials and difficulties in our lifetime. None of us are exempt from disappointment and pain. We are either going through a trial, coming out of one, or getting ready to go through one. I am not writing this to discourage you, but rather to encourage your heart. Because you and I have a refuge we can run to; His name is Jesus. He will fill your heart and soul with peace. He will give you a joy that is unexplainable if you will come to Him.
So many things in life can weigh heavily on us. At times, we focus on our problems rather than focusing on the One who holds it all together. When we get caught up in our problems, they eventually become bigger and bigger. This will only lead to discouragement. We were not made to carry the load. Jesus cares so much about you, and He wants you to lay down each and every burden at His feet. Stop trying to figure it out on your own. When you give Him your burdens, you may not get an instant solution, however, you will receive His peace; the peace that passes all human understanding (Philippians 4:6-7).
Friend, it is not about us. It is not about our comfort or happiness, as many would like to believe it is. It is all about the Lord and giving Him the glory that He alone deserves. His desire for you and for me is to become more and more like His Son. This means losing our lives for His sake, dying to our will and our selfish desires, giving up the need to control, and it is seeking and pursuing Him first above all else. God created us for Himself (Colossians 1:16). He does not need us, but He chose us and wants to have a relationship with us through Christ Jesus. This plan was set in motion since before the foundation of the earth. "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. "For He chose us in Him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in His sight. In love, He predestined us to be adopted as His sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with His pleasure and will-to the praise of His glorious grace, which He has freely given us in the One He loves (Ephesians 1:3-6)."
God loves us so much that He sent His one and only Son to die in our place and take the punishment that we deserved. Jesus is the sinless, spotless Lamb of the world who left His throne in glory to make a way for us to come to the Father. He was beaten and marred beyond human likeness. His appearance was so disfigured beyond that of any man (Isaiah 52:14). Yet He willingly chose to endure all of this so that you and I could be free. He. loves. you. It was His love that held Him on the cross. He could have called ten thousand angels to come to His aid (Matthew 26:53), but He chose the nails because of His great love.
Once you taste and see the Lord's goodness, your life is never the same. When you understand just how much Jesus loves and cherishes you, and He is coming back for you to be with Him forever, life becomes worth living. He puts a hope in your heart that the world can never take away. This hope is an anchor for your soul in the dark times, in the sadness, the sickness, the loss, the suffering and the persecution. There is nothing more satisfying and beautiful than the presence of the Lord! He created you (Psalm 139:13) therefore, He is the only One who can satisfy your soul and fill the longing you have deep within.
"O God, You are my God, earnestly I seek You; my soul thirsts for You, my body longs for You in a dry and weary land where there is no water. I have seen You in the sanctuary and beheld Your power and Your glory. Because Your love is better than life, my lips will glorify You. I will praise You as long as I live, and in Your name I will lift up my hands. My soul will be satisfied as with the richest of foods; with singing lips my mouth will praise You (Psalm 63:1-5)."
