Power In the Blood!
"When Christ came as high priest of the good things that are already here, He went through the greater and more perfect tabernacle that is not man-made, that is to say, not a part of this creation. He did not enter by means of the blood of goats and calves, but He entered the Most Holy Place once for all by His own blood, having obtained eternal redemption (Hebrews 9:11:12)."
Jesus Christ shed His blood so that you and I could have peace with the Father. He made a way where there was otherwise no way. "Without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness (Hebrews 9:21)." Before Jesus came, under the Old Covenant, people sacrificed goats and calves to atone for their sin and to be reconciled to God. Blood symbolizes cleansing; blood is life. So when an animal was sacrificed, it's blood was shed which represented new life for another and their sins were forgiven. When Christ came, the curtain of the temple was torn from top to bottom. This curtain or veil separated the Holy of Holies-the earthly place of God's dwelling-from the rest of the temple where man dwelt. This curtain symbolized that man was separated from God by sin. At that time, the only one who could enter behind the curtain once a year was the high priest.
But praise God that Jesus tore that veil! It was through His shed blood, the curtain was torn. What does this mean for you and me? It means anyone can enter into the presence of God through Jesus. Animal sacrifices are no longer required. A high priest is no longer required to atone for your sin. Jesus sacrificed His blood once and for all. Through His blood, you and I can now have a relationship with the Father forever!
There is power in the blood! God "has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son He loves, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins (Colossians 1:13-14)." Praise God, He made us alive with Christ. He forgave not some, but all our sins. Jesus canceled the written code with all of its regulations; He took it and nailed it to the cross (Colossians 2:13-14)." Think about it for a moment, any sin you have ever committed and ever will commit was nailed to the cross. Jesus took your place. He took my place. It was my sin, your sin, that He hung on the cross for. He could have called on His Father and He would have at once sent more than ten-thousand angels, but Jesus chose the cross; He chose the suffering. He chose to die. He did it because of His great love for you and me.
My friend, there is no other way to God except through the Lord Jesus Christ. A doctrine that teaches anything else is false. Faith in Christ plus nothing else! That is grace! It is not good works. It is not going to church. Jesus is the only way! This is God's design. Any religion that claims anything else is man-made and all who chose a path other than Jesus will spend eternity in hell~forever separated from God. Please know dear one that God does not send anyone to hell. He is patient and does not want anyone to die in their sin, but to come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). God gives each of us the choice. I imagine there will be many "good" people in hell; many who sat in church pews every Sunday, many who knew the Word, but it was only head-knowledge, many who did good deeds...many who would give anything to have one more chance.
My friend, if you hear God's voice today, don't harden your heart. You don't know what tomorrow will bring. Life passes by so quickly and you don't know when you will take your last breath. Following Jesus is the best decision you could ever possibly make. Call on Him. He will never turn away anyone! He will give you joy unspeakable. He will give you His peace. He will give you new life. He will give you freedom from the bondage of sin. He will give you a hope that the world can never take away. You will share in His glorious kingdom~starting now!
"I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in Me will never die. Do you believe this? (John 11:25)."
