Jesus Is Coming Back!

"For the Lord Himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore, encourage each other with these words (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)."
We, as followers of the Lord Jesus Christ have a promise, and that is the Lord will return for His own. No one knows the day or the hour so we need to be ready because He could come at any moment. We get caught up in all the busyness of life and tend to think that we have all the time in the world, but the truth is, no one knows when they will take their last breath. "All the days ordained for me were written in Your book before one of them came to be (Psalm 139:16)." This means that each of us has a set number of days that we are here on this earth. We need to live each day as if it were our last.
Love your family, take time to pray for others and do random acts of kindness. Help those in need and expect nothing in return. When you bless others, you in turn are blessed. There's a joy that comes with blessing people whether it's to encourage their heart, give them a gift or just give them your time. "In everything I did, I showed you by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus Himself said: It is more blessed to give than to receive (Acts 20:35)."
Don't take life for granted. As a believer, one day you will stand before the judgment seat of Christ. Jesus will test everything you did in your life and your motives....why you did what you did-was it for God's glory our your own selfish desire? Were you seeking God's approval or praise from man? Being saved is not about doing good works,  however, when God saves you, He places His Spirit within you and fills you with His love so that you can't help but love others and you have a desire to live as Christ Jesus lived. You cannot do this without the Holy Spirit,  and you will fail at times, but when you fall, run to the cross and God will be right there with open arms.
We have so many things that come against us. But we must stand firm and remember that we have that same power that raised Jesus from the dead living on the inside of us. "You however, are controlled not by the sinful nature but by the Spirit,  if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ. But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, yet your spirit is alive because of righteousness.  And if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit, who lives in you (Romans 8:9-11)." Think about that....meditate on it and let this truth sink deep in your heart. As a follower of Christ, you are a child of the King! You are royalty.  You are sealed until the day of redemption. Nothing can ever snatch you out of His hand! "I give them eternal life and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of My hand (John 10:28)."
Jesus is coming back my friend! "Behold I am coming soon! My reward is with Me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done.  I am the  Alpha and Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End. Blessed are those who wash their robes in white (who trusted in the name of Christ and surrendered their life to Him), that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates (heaven) (Revelation 22:12-14)."
Praying that all of you who read this will know how much you are dearly loved by the King and you will keep your eyes on Jesus and live a life worthy of the calling.
