Jesus~He Lived to Die

"For unto us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be upon His shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." Isaiah 9:6
It's the time of the year when we celebrate Christmas all over the world. A day set apart to celebrate the birth of the one true King. It is so easy to get caught up in the busyness of this precious holiday, and lay aside the true meaning of Christmas. I am sure many of you have been shopping and buying gifts for friends and loved ones and while this is good, don't forget the reason for this season~Jesus
Before the world was made, God already had a plan to save all humanity. He already knew Adam and Eve would commit the first sin in the Garden of Eden and in love, He already had the answer for all the sin that was brought into this world. You see, God is perfect and all of His ways are righteous and just. In Him, there is no sin and because of His holiness, there had to be a perfect, spotless sacrifice to atone for all the sin of the world. On our own, we could never be good enough, and we could never do enough good works to earn righteousness. In fact, the Bible tells us that "there is no one righteous, not even one. (Romans 3:10)." How then, do we obtain this righteousness that comes from God alone? How can we have our sin forgiven and be made whole? How can we ever be made right in the sight of a holy God? The answer is simple: Believe in Jesus Christ! Believe He is who He says He is, the everlasting Savior who came into the world to save sinners.
"You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: while we were still yet sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:6-8)." We did not deserve this precious gift, but God, so rich in love and mercy, wanted to restore us to Himself and have a relationship with us. Christ took our sin upon Himself and in return, gives us His righteousness. "The words 'it was credited to him' were written not for him alone, but also for us to whom God will credit righteousness for us who believe in Him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification (Romans 4:23-25)."
Jesus came to free you from the bondage of sin-past, present and future. When He died on the cross, it was once and for all. "When He had received the drink, Jesus said, 'it is finished.' With that, He bowed His head and gave up His spirit (John 19:30)." Jesus did all the work for us-there is nothing more to be done. All we have to do is make the choice to believe. God's amazing grace,
how sweet the sound, that saved a wretch like me.
I once was lost, but now I'm found.
Was blind, but now I see.
Grace isn't for a certain race, the rich or any particular group of people. No, my friend, this grace is for all who will believe~to all who will call upon the name of the Lord! "For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile-the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on Him, for everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved (Romans 10:12-13.)"
So, if you are reading this and aren't sure you are saved or you have felt a tugging at your heart, God is calling you. He is drawing you to Himself. Cry out to Him right now, this very moment, and tell Him you need Him. Tell Him you believe that He sent His one and only Son to this earth to die for your sin. Tell Him you realize you are a sinner and ask Him to forgive you and make you a new creation. Make Jesus the Lord of your life! He will do this my friend. He longs to do this! "Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you; He rises to show you compassion. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for Him (Isaiah 30:18)."
If you have just prayed to receive Christ Jesus as your Lord, please let me know so I can pray for you! God has great and wonderful plans for you. He promises that He will never leave nor forsake you! (Hebrews 13:5)
