Your Daddy Who Loves You!
"Your love O Lord reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies. Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains, your justice like the great deep. O Lord, you preserve both man and beast. How priceless is your unfailing love! Both high and low among men find refuge in the shadow of your wings." Psalm 36:5-7
Our God not only loves us, He is love. 1 John 4:16 He tells us that because of the great sacrifice of His Son Jesus, those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God lives in Him and He in them. He goes on to tell us that because of this, we know and rely on the love God has for us. "God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God and God in Him." Based on this truth, we can have confidence on the day of judgment. (v. 17)
The Lord does not change. (Malachi 3:6) He is the same yesterday, today and forever. His love is pure. It is not based on anything that we do. His love for you and me is unconditional. He proved this to us in that "while we were still yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8 We live in a fallen world where many do not show unconditional love. There may be people in your family or circle of friends that love you based on conditions~based on what you can do for them or based on how you act. If you fail to meet their standards, then they withhold love from you. Friend, we do not ever have to worry about that when it comes to our mighty and wonderful God. He is "slow to anger and abounding in love." Psalm 103:8
Many people mistakenly compare the love God has for them with the love they have or have not received from their earthly father or some significant person in their life. They may have been abused or wounded in some way and because of their past, they think that they are not deserving of God's love or they think it is not possible for God to love them. These are lies that the enemy would like for you to believe and he will put thoughts in your mind that go against the Word of God. satan wants nothing more than to "kill, steal and destroy." Jesus tells us this in John 10:10, but He goes on to say that "I have come that they might have life and have it to the full." The "full" life He is referring to is one where you are free in Him. You are free from all of your guilt and shame. You are free to be the person God created you to be. You are a masterpiece that God created. "For You created my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from You when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, Your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in Your book before one of them came to be. How precious to me are Your thoughts O God!" Psalm 139:13-17
You were no accident my friend. God "chose (you) in Him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in His sight. In love, He predestined us to be adopted as His sons through Jesus Christ in accordance with His pleasure and will-to the praise of His glorious grace, which He has freely given us in the One He loves." Ephesians 1:4-6
It is because of His great love He showed us through Christ Jesus, that we are able to call Him "Daddy." In Romans, He tells us that all of us who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. Who are those that are led by His Spirit? It is those who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. John 3:16 tells us that "God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him, should not perish, but have everlasting life. "Believes" means to put your life upon. God places His Spirit in us the moment we believe and it is by His Spirit that "we cry Abba Father. The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children." Romans 8:15-16
"Abba" is an Aramaic word that is most closely translated as "Daddy." It represents an intimate, trusting relationship that a young child has with his daddy ("Knowing God," J I Packer). What an awesome privilege that we can call the Holy, Mighty and Awesome God of the universe "Daddy."
"The Lord your God is with you, He is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing." Zephaniah 3:17

I would just like to confirm if I can call my Lord Jesus, my DAD also and your blog confirms it aside also from the Holy Bible. I am fatherless amd motherless but the Lord Jesus gave me a good job where I also share my salary with a prison ministry. I also asked my DAD JESUS to hold my ATM since He owns all. I asked Him permission every time I withdraw. In this way I can be sure He will always fill it, spiritually and financially. In this way also I can practice being a good steward. God Bless You on your inspirational blogs.
