Your Daddy Who Loves You!

"Your love O Lord reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies. Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains, your justice like the great deep. O Lord, you preserve both man and beast. How priceless is your unfailing love ! Both high and low among men find refuge in the shadow of your wings." Psalm 36:5-7      Our God not only loves us, He is love. 1 John 4:16 He tells us that because of the great sacrifice of His Son Jesus, those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God lives in Him and He in them. He goes on to tell us that because of this, we know and rely on the love God has for us. "God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God and God in Him." Based on this truth, we can have confidence on the day of judgment. (v. 17)       The Lord does not change. (Malachi 3:6) He is the same yesterday, today and forever. His love is pure. It is not based on anything that we do. His love for you and me is unconditional. He ...

Keep Fighting the Good Fight of Faith!

"He who overcomes will like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out his name from the book of life, but will acknowledge his name before my Father and His angels. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches." Revelation 3:5-6      Jesus is telling us in this passage that we are to consistently live our lives for Him. Rather, we are to live our lives in such a way that God is glorified and the light of Christ shines through. "Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven." Matthew 5:16. God could have taken us to heaven the moment we got saved, but He chose to leave us in the world so that we could point others to Him with our words and our lives.       Whether you realize it or not, ...

The Power of Prayer

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7      As a follower of Christ, one of the most powerful weapons we have is prayer. We are told to pray about everything. God cares about every detail of our lives. There is nothing too small and nothing too great that He cannot handle.       Prayer is a privilege we have and prayer changes things. Prayer is not getting God to do what we  want, rather, it is an intimate communion with our heavenly Father that ultimately aligns our will up with His will. Jesus showed us a perfect example as He prayed in the garden of Gethsemane, "My Father, if it is possible, may this cup to be taken from Me. Yet not as I will, but as You will ." Matthew 26:39       Jesus...
