Seek God First

" But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Matthew 6:33-34      As I read these words, it is so clear that one of the most important things we can do as a believer is to seek God. Seek Him for who He is, not just for what He can give to us. Our relationship with our heavenly Father is more important than the troubles and concerns we may be facing right now. God knows our needs, and He will not let us be in want. Psalm 23. This passage from the Psalms is a metaphor, as God is our shepherd and we are His sheep. A shepherd is one who cares for His sheep. He leads the way and keeps them from danger. He gives them food and water. If a sheep gets lost, the shepherd's job is to find him. Power In the Blood

"To Him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by His blood, and has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve His God and Father-to Him be the glory and power for ever and ever! Amen!" Revelation 1:5-6      Jesus Christ came and shed His blood to free you from all your sins~past, present and future. When Jesus was on the cross and said, "it is finished," (John 19:30) this meant that His work was completed-there was nothing else that needed to be done. He paid it all on the cross that day.      There is nothing you have done that His blood will not cover. Jesus freely offered Himself unblemished; without sin. He was the perfect sacrifice to cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God.
