Why Was I Born?

Have you ever asked the question, Why was I born? I think if we were honest, each of us at some point in our life have asked that question. Life can be very challenging at times. There may even be times where you pray for God to take you home.       I want to encourage you today with the hope that God gives us through His word.       " For You created me in my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from You when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, Your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in Your book before one of them came to be. How PRECIOUS to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand. When I awake, I am still with You....

God Is Always Good

"But You, O Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness." Psalm 86:15      God is always good. It is His character. He is love. 1 John 4:8 He showed this love to the world as He sent His one and only Son to die for our sin. If you are a Christ follower, think back to before you were saved~the life you lived; the person you once were. "God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8 You were not always in fellowship with the Lord, none of us were, but God, rich in grace and mercy had a plan from the start to send Christ as an atoning sacrifice for our sins so that we did not have to pay the penalty.      With all of that said, we live in a fallen world. A world where satan is the prince. John 12:31 All you have to do is turn on the t.v, radio, look at society and our culture to see how evil things are. More and more people are l...

You Will Face Persecution As You Live Your Life For Christ

"That is why I am suffering as I am. Yet I am not ashamed, because I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that He is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him for that day." 2 Timothy 1:12 Paul wrote these words under the power of the Holy Spirit. He was suffering because he was sharing the gospel. As a Christ follower, we will face all kinds of battles. Our enemy does not want us to advance the kingdom of God. When you suffer for doing good, know that others around the world are experiencing the same kind of suffering. You are on the right track as you face opposition. Count it joy my friend-one day we will stand face to face with our Savior and Lord Jesus and like Paul, I want to hear Him say,"Well done, good and faithful servant!" Matthew 25:21 We were never promised a life of ease, "in fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted ." 2 Timothy 3:12 I am not writing this to discourage you, but to encourage...
